Communications Committee

Get the Word Out! Please refer to this document on Communications policies and advice.

Purpose: To coordinate all the communications inside and outside the congregation.

Duties:

  • Publish or provide support for publishing PR type information to the larger community.
  • Foster an environment of communication within the congregation and an understanding of the
  • inter-relationship between all the church groups.
  • Publish and maintain the Guidelines for Communication Vehicles.
  • Publish and maintain the Committees and Task Forces descriptions.
  • Approve and implement design changes to the web site.
  • Update information on the web site, other than the Newsletter, Calendar, and Highlights.
  • Identify the best vehicles for communication, including new ones and new processes.
  • Allocate and supervise the use of communication vehicles in the church, e.g., bulletin boards, information tables, and racks.
