Purpose: The purpose of the Worship Committee is to enhance the quality, integrity and relevance of the worship services by supporting and advising the Minister. It also coordinates lay-led services and those with guest ministers.

Duties:

• Meets monthly with the minister to suggest and generate sermon topics and discuss worship services for Sundays and Holidays; and biannually in ‘retreat’ for evaluation and long range planning
• Works with the minister to arrange for guest ministers and lay led services Coordinates summer services (July 1 through Labor Day). This includes content of the service, music, child care coverage, and coffee hour.
• Committee Members serve as chancel coordinators - prepare flowers, candles and chancel table for each service.
• Committee Members serve as Worship Associates and assist the Minister during the service with announcements, readings, and other parts of the service as requested.
