UUCM Food Policies

Requirement: Peanut-free Building

Due to the severity of peanut allergy reactions, no peanuts, peanut products, or products containing traces of peanuts will be brought into the church building at any time.

Requirement at Church Functions, Recommendation at other functions:

Commercial Food Labels

Labels will be put out with all commercially prepared foods that are served at church. This will allow individuals to check the foods for common allergens (wheat, dairy, soy, tree nuts, egg, etc.).

Labels for Homemade Foods

There will be pre-printed index cards available in the kitchen for people to fill out the name of the dish and who made it and then from a list check the allergens that are in the food: dairy, wheat, eggs, soy, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, and a line for “don’t know.”
