Gloria Webster is the interim DRE for the church year. She had previously been the DRE at the Marblehead UU Church for 3 years after serving in the same position for 12 years at the Swampscott Congregational Church. Although raised in the Congregational church in Medford, her home town, she found an immediate connection with Unitarian-Universalism since she had long been active in social concerns and liberal political causes. She is the mother of 8 children, 10 grandchildren and is pleased to be working with families again. She and her husband live in Swampscott. She graduated from Boston University with a major in journalism, worked as a newspaper reporter before "retiring" to raise her family. Her goal this year is to keep the children's religious education program strong and exciting, building on the enthusiasm and dedication of the adults of the church,
