About us

We are a Welcoming Unitarian Universalist Congregation located on Mugford Street in the beautiful seaside town of Marblehead. We offer Sunday Services, Volunteering, Community Engagement, Social Action, Youth Activities, Religious Education and Social Events.

Come visit and get to know us!

There are seven principles which we affirm and promote:

  • The inherent worth and dignity of every person;

  • Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;

  • Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;

  • A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;

  • The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;

  • The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;

  • Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

We realize these principles through many activities, from our regular Sunday services, religious exploration, to community outreach. We are a welcoming community. Reverend Wendy von Courter leads our Sunday services that are held at 10:30 am mid September through mid June at 28 Mugford Street, Marblehead. Parking is available on the street and in the Gerry School parking lot on Elm Street. Mid June through mid September lay-led services are held at 9:30 am. Child care is available for infants and toddlers – religious exploration classes for kindergarten through high school.
