Seeking Together: a Homily

Ingathering is when we come back together as a church from our expeditions to exotic places like Maine and Ohio and even Salem.  Please remember to bring a small vessel of water with you to the service the morning of September 7.  We will be having our traditional, annual Water Ceremony.  Bring a water sample from someplace that was meaningful to you over the summer, and take a moment or two to tell us why this water is special to you.  We pour our waters into a common vessel, that also contains water from prior years, symbolizing the way that we join our lives in a covenanted community.  If you don't remember to bring  your special water, there will be 'symbolic' water available. I will also have a short homily on water and its confluences.
