Welcoming our new Coordinator of Religious Education & Congregational Life, John Newhall!

The UUCM Staff Team and RE Search Committee is so pleased to introduce you all to our new CRE, John Newhall, who started with us on August 22. 

John Newhall is a life-long Unitarian Universalist from Salem, Massachusetts. They recently graduated with a Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology.


John has participated in a great number of the Unitarian Universalist Association programs for youth and young adults. Some of these experiences include interning during the summer at the UUA and participating in programs like Summer Seminary and Meaning Makers. John is a member of First Church in Salem, Massachusetts and has served in a variety of functions. They also serve as Trustee and Vice-Moderator on the Unitarian Universalist Association Board of Trustees.

John lives in Salem with two cats, Loki and Steinway.

John's first worship service with us will be on Ingathering/Water Communion Sunday (September 10), and we hope you will get the chance to say hello! John can be reached at
